  1. Waiting for Godot
Waiting for Godot is a story written by Samuel Beckett in the time after the world war. It’s a play for the theatre and it’s also called “theatre of the Absurd”. It’s about two men waiting for a good friend but he never appears in the play and no one actually knows who this guy really is.

On my Opinion the play tells the situation which was at this time, because many people were waiting after the war for their sons, dads, sweethearts, etc. I personally think Samuel Becket wants to tell us this with this play but it’s very hard to understand. I think the two guys they’re waiting there near the country road should go in a pub and wait there or go and do their jobs. They can wait anyway but they have something to do and earn money while they are waiting. If you do something while you are waiting for someone the time will be over faster.

I think the play also tells us that you have to use the day and don’t sit around the whole day. Stand up and do what you want. Go on holidays or go and do your job, but you shouldn’t only work or only go on holidays. This is called “work-life balance” and many people are following this princip. And the people who don’t use it should think about it, because it works perfect. The work-life balance is very important for me and I can’t also go two weeks to school without a day or two free per week.
