Interpretation of Waiting for Godot In the play Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett there are two men, Estragon and the Vladimir. They are waiting the whole time for Godot, how is god or a thing. There are two other men, Lucky and Patzzo.
The actors are only waiting in the whole play, they do not go to the town, to a pup, or so. It is so typical of the Theatre of Absurd because the characters of the play are all so stupid and also the story is absurd. The play was written when there were many the First and Second World War, because of this situation there is no happy ending.
The meaning of the play is that you shouldn´t wait of something, you should take it in our own hands. Samuel Beckett means that, because the people waiting of love and harmony after the wars. To make the best of my life I should love the life, for example doing sports, going out to the nature and having fun with the family. With these things I can really seize the day.
I think that work-life balance means that you must find a balance between work and freetime. So you should sometimes do work and sometimes do sport or something with or family and friend. If you do not work for school you will have bad marks. Also if you do not have hobbies you will have problems with your life. The play has a very nice meaning. Martin Artner
This story is about of two characters called Estragon and Vladimir they waited for Godot. But in this play Godot did not appear.
It is a thypical Theatre oft he absurde because the two idiots are waiting for nothing.
There is no happy ending because this play was writtening in the war time and at this time there was a famine and the people had not much to live
This play is written by Samuel Beckett. He is born in 1906 in Dublin and he died in 1989 in Paris. He wrot this play in a terrible time. He wanted to tell us with his work that we not should wait for a thing that never comes.
In my opinion we have tob e focussed to make the best out of our lifes. You can really seize the day while we make the most important things first and than the other. I think work-life-balance is important because when you just work you are tired and K.O. and when you just live you haven’t any money to buy food or something.
